CD: Fairy in the Woods by Stadler, Gary
$16.98
`Fairy of the Woods by Gary Stadler is a special treat. It is the music of Celtic legends and, even though it sounds as if Stadler is well grounded in classical training, this album CD definitely has qualities of other worldliness. There is an age where children are perpetually in a state of wide-eyed wonderment and innocence, which bridges the inner and outer worlds. Through his original compositions, Stadler brings us to this place of magic and wonder where fairy tales are true and ancient trees in primordial forests can share their dreaming stories from long winter naps with those who know how to listen. With his piano and synth orchestra, Stadler leads the listener through many moods, all of them soothing as lullabies. There are ten original compositions on Fairy of the Woods. The first song on this CD, titled "Sometimes" begins with the sounds of frogs and crickets while a solo harpsichord-piano plays such a sweet, heart-stirring melody it just makes you want to go out and be really nice to everyone. The title cut, "Fairy of the Woods," starts soft as snowfall, settling down around you layer after layer of pure peace. "Breath of Love" has just a touch of melancholy and "Forest Dark`n" up-tempos a bit with echoes of an old Irish ditty.` - Lee Stone, Innerchange Music Review
